In addition there is a weekly collection of groceries for the Homeless Project, and it is a rare week when we are not also given at least £10 in cash donations. We estimate that these donations in cash and in kind were worth in the region of £1,000 in 2018.
In July and December we had a collection of confectionery items for the Harrogate Food Bank, estimated to be in the region of £400 in total. In September there was a larger than usual collection of items for the Homeless Project for Harvest, estimated to be in the region of £200. In December we had a collection of Christmas items for the Homeless Project, estimated to be in the region of £300. At a conservative estimate therefore, the value of the giving in kind was in total approaching £2,000.
If you would like to donate non-perishable food items or toiletries to the Harrogate Homeless Project you can leave them in the church. There is a large box usually kept by the main doors for this purpose.
